It’s time to get out in the sun enjoy live performing arts in the great outdoors because ArtsXpeditions is back! Entering its third season of popping up in neighbourhoods all over Calgary, ArtsXpeditions has shared music and dance, but this is the first year that it will be sharing live theatre performances.
What does community mean to you? Alanna Bluebird Onespot is a Tsuut'ina spoken word artist who curates the Mini Pow Wow as part of National Indigenous Peoples Day at ArtsXpeditions. In this first-person account, Bluebird-Onespot shares the deep connections between her work and her culture and how the arts can heal and inspire the next generation of Indigenous youth.
Brendan James Boyd (He/Him) is a puppeteer, puppet builder and designer from Alberta, Canada. With a lifelong passion for puppetry arts, Brendan has an infectious love of puppetry which he imparts to Arts Commons Education students through creative workshops that include puppet creation and performance.

Mandy Stobo is a passionate artist, actor and mother. She is dedicated to her community, her family and her artwork while always taking in as many new perspectives, experiences and memories that life can offer. In this activity she inspires young and burgeoning artists to explore creating their own landscape.
